Irene D. Bjorhus, 95, passed away Feb. 29, 2024, at Grand Arbor in Alexandria.
She was born on Jan. 27, 1929 in Staples. She grew up south of Oylen in Wadena County. She was the youngest of five children born to Eddie and Selma (Pihlstrom) Hanson.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband Walter (Norman), son Alan Bjorhus and her siblings. Irene is survived by her granddaughter Marjia Storrs; grandson Michael Bjorhus; great-grandchildren Kylia Shaleen, Jacob Shaleen (Lailah), Helaina, Charlize and Lana Bjorhus; great-great-grandson Zayvion Landyn Montgomery; two nieces Peggy Dronen and Tammy Lettau; and nephew Lory Olson.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Grand Arbor community room on the second floor south entrance.
