Clarence R. Kuefler
Clarence Roy Kuefler passed away on Nov. 23, 2013, at the age of 84 in Maple Grove.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Church of St. Joseph the Worker in Maple Grove. Interment was in Glendorado Cemetery, in rural Princeton.
Clarence was raised in Sauk Centre and attended St. Cloud State, graduating with a degree in education. Prior to starting his career in education, he spent six years in the U.S. Army. Clarence retired in 1987 after 34 years as a teacher and a principal in the Anoka Hennepin School District. Clarence was the definition of a gracious man, never complaining about things beyond his control, handling them with his strong will to do the best he could. He loved being around people (and cars!) and you always felt he was happy to see you. A “true gentleman” in every sense of the word.
Clarence was the last surviving member of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Clara; his sisters, Leona Carpenter Botz, Donna Schrom and brothers, Paul and Kenneth. They were all born within 10 years of one another and left us the same way.
He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey (Kilgard) Kuefler and her extended family, who were a truly loving family to Clarence during their 48 years of marriage. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews.
