NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Stearns County Planning Commission, in and for the County of Stearns, will conduct a public hearing to consider a request for an interim use permit submitted by Getty Wind, Chokio MN for Alcuin and Mary Kampsen, Sauk Centre MN. within the requirements of Sections 4.8 and 6.61 of the Stearns County Land Use and Zoning Ordinance #439, for a meteorological tower (approximately 265 feet tall) in an Agricultural 160 (A-160) zoning district. The request is to leave the existing tower on the site for five years. The property is located in part of the E1/2 of the NW1/4 Section 8, lying westerly of County Road 28, Getty Township (125/34).
Notice is further given that the above hearing will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Stearns County Service Center West, Room 121, 3301 County Road 138, Waite Park, Minnesota.
A copy of the proposed request is on file in the Stearns County Environmental Services Office, County Administration Center, Room 343, 705 Courthouse Square, St. Cloud, Minnesota and can be viewed during regular business hours. These requests/information can also be viewed approximately one week prior to the meeting at co.stearns.mn.us by clicking on Board and Committee meetings. Action taken on these applications will be available shortly after the meeting at the same web site location.

1.1 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed Bid Proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials and all other items necessary to complete the work described herewith, will be received by Sauk River Watershed District at its office located at 524 4th St. S, Sauk Centre, MN, until 11:00AM December 16, 2013, at which time such bids will be opened and read aloud. The work, in accordance with drawings and specifications prepared by Wenck Associates, Inc. consists of the following major items of work:
• Approximately 22,000 LF of ditch cleaning including excavation, grubbing, vegetation removal, and disposal of materials
• Approximately 900 LF of ditch cleaning including vegetation and brush removal only

Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a “Bid Security” in the form of a certified or cashier’s check made payable to Sauk River Watershed District (“OWNER”) in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, or a surety bond in the same amount, running to the OWNER, with a surety company duly authorized to do business in the state of Minnesota, such Bid Security to be a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded a contract, will enter into a contract with Sauk River Watershed District; and the amount of the certified check will be retained or the bond enforced by the OWNER in case the bidder fails to do so. The OWNER will retain the deposits for the three lowest bidders until the contract has been awarded and executed but not longer than sixty (60) days. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days following the bid opening.
