1.1 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Sealed Bid Proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials and all other items necessary to complete the work described herewith, will be received by Sauk River Watershed District at its office located at 524 4th St. S, Sauk Centre, MN, until 11:00 AM, January 30, 2014, at which time such bids will be opened and read aloud. The work, in accordance with drawings and specifications prepared by Wenck Associates, Inc. consists of approximately the following major items of work:

• Tree clearing

Chairman Mitchell called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  Members Abel, Lauer, Mitchell, Pfeffer, Rasmussen, Schuster, Thompson were present.  Superintendent Brooks and a Herald reporter were also present.

Mitchell turned the meeting over to Brooks for the purpose of electing a chairman.  Brooks explained the legal requirements and process.

Brooks called for nominations for Chairman.  Pfeffer nominated Rasmussen for Chairman.  Thompson nominated Mitchell for Chairman.  Brooks called two additional times for any further nominations for Chairman.  Upon voting Brooks noted five votes for Mitchell and two votes for Rasmussen.  Brooks declared Mitchell Chairman and returned the meeting to her.

Mitchell called for nominations for Vice-Chairman.  Lauer nominated Schuster for Vice-Chairman.  Mitchell called three times for additional nominations and hearing none declared Schuster to be Vice-Chairman.

Mitchell called for nominations for Clerk/Treasurer.  Abel nominated Lauer for Clerk/Treasurer.  Mitchell called three times for additional nominations and hearing none declared Lauer to be Clerk/Treasurer.

Lauer moved Schuster seconded to approve the agenda as presented.  Ayes:  All.

Brooks reported on the following:

- Outdoor Facility Improvement Project;

- Negotiations with SCEA;

- Teacher Evaluation Committee Work.

Following review and discussion Thompson moved Rasmussen seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows:
