For all fans and followers of the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa boys' basketball team: the Section 5A boys' basketball title game between the top-ranked Jaguars and the Sub-Section 5A-North champion Browerville Tigers has been moved to Jefferson high school in Alexandria. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.

The game was originally scheduled for the Crosby-Ironton high school, but with the predicted large following of both B-B-E and Browerville fans, section officials made the change on the venue at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning. The C-I high school has an official capacity of 1,698, whereas Jefferson high school holds upwards of 2,500 fans. Another interesting twist is that this game will be the final basketball game held at Jefferson high school, which opened in 1958. For the 2014-15 season, the Alexandria Cardinals basketball teams will christen a brand new 9-12 high school on the southeast side of town.

To be sure, share this news as far and wide as you are able to, as the notice is short to make sure everyone knows not to drive to Crosby on Friday night.

Update on Thursday: the doors to Jefferson high school will open at 6 p.m. on Friday night.
