Notice is hereby given that the City of Sauk Centre will accept sealed quotes for the construction of a shelter with restrooms in the Multi-Purpose Park until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at which time they will be opened and read aloud.

A copy of the specifications may be picked up at the City Administrator’s Office, 320 Oak Street South, Sauk Centre, MN, 56378.  Sealed bid envelopes shall bear the inscription “Park Shelter Bid”.  A cash deposit, certified check or bid bond for at least five percent (5%) of the total quote amount must accompany the bid proposal.

No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of twenty (20) days after the date set for the quote opening thereof.  The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularity.  The City Council intends to make an award at its June 18, 2014 Council meeting.

SAUK CENTRE PUBLIC SCHOOLS

BOARD OF EDUCATION

MAY 27, 2014

Chairman Mitchell called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  Members Abel, Mitchell, Pfeffer, Rasmussen, Schuster, Thompson and Lauer were present.  Superintendent Brooks, student representative Kluver and a few visitors were also present.

Lauer moved Thomson seconded to approve the agenda as revised.  Ayes:  All.

Brooks reported on various aspects of current staffing scenarios and answered questions for the Board.  The report included financial and legal contractual recommendations for transitioning community education – activity coordinator duties upon Mr. Fischer’s retirement next school year.  The report also included information on preliminary Title funding, that will impact elementary staffing levels, and the posting of the various open positions.  By consensus direction the Board authorized Brooks to prepare contracts for the June Board meeting.

Following review and discussion Schuster moved Abel seconded, to approve the consent agenda as follows:

- Approve the minutes of May 15, 2014 as presented;

- Acknowledge the administration’s acceptance of the resignation of Karen Maschler, thanking her for her years of service as the elementary principal.

Ayes:  All.

Mitchell adjourned the meeting at 8:15 p.m.
