Patricia Radford

Patricia Radford, age 58 of Alexandria, formerly of Sauk Centre, passed away the morning of March 30, 2017, after a long struggle with COPD at the CentraCare Nursing home in Sauk Centre. She was born in Pueblo, Colo.
Patricia was preceded in death by her oldest son, Damon Tollin, and husband, Mark Radford, her mother and father, as well as three older brothers.
Survived by four children, Curtis Tollin, Chris Tollin, Andrea Hennen and Farrah Hagen and her sister, Marilyn Currie. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 8, at 11 a.m. at the Sauk Valley Lutheran Church.

Mae Haskamp

Mae Haskamp, age 84 of Sauk Centre, died on Friday, March 31, 2017, at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, April 7, at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Greg Paffel presiding. Interment will be in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Sauk Centre.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, and from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, April 7, at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish Prayers will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Irene M. Rieland

Irene M. Rieland, age 90 of Sauk Centre, died Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Galeon Community Memorial Home in Osakis with family members at her side.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 5 at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church with Rev. Greg Paffel presiding. Interment was in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Sauk Centre.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 5 from 9-11 a.m. at Saint Paul’s Church prior to the funeral mass.

Clifford F. Mitchell

Clifford F. “Cliff” Mitchell, age 89 of Albany, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany from complications of a stroke.
A Celebration of Life with Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany with Rev. Cletus Connors, O.S.B officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date as Cliff donated his body to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Military honors will be provided by the Albany American Legion.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Friday and from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Seven Dolors Gathering Area in Albany. The American Legion, Albany Fire Department, and the Albany Lions club will pray at 7 p.m. Friday evening in the Gathering Area.

Eugene Yarke, age 81, died on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Meire Grove. Visitation will be 8:30-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Lillian Nemmers

Lillian Nemmers, age 105 of Glenwood, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at her home in Glenwood. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove Lake, with Rev. Philip Beyersdorf officiating. Visitation will be at the church, one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Grove Lake Cemetery. Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Glenwood.
Lillian Elenora Wulff was born April 6, 1911, on a farm west of Lakefield, in Rost Township, Jackson County, to Oscar and Mary (Voehl) Wulff. She was baptized on April 30, 1911, at St Paul’s Lutheran in Rost Township.
Lillian attended school in Lakefield until 1921, when her family moved to Fulda. Her education continued at St. Paul’s Lutheran School and Fulda High School.

Andreas “Andy” Tobler

Andreas Tobler, age 91 of Maple Grove, formerly of Sauk Centre, passed away on March 20, 2017. Memorial service for Andreas “Andy” Tobler will be April 1 at 11 a.m. at the Sauk Centre Methodist Church.
A Synopsis of Andy’s Life:
Andy, the eldest of six children, grew up in Dornach, Switzerland, near Basel in a house his father built. He and two siblings, Meinrad and Roswitha, lost their mother Elise when Andy was 13. His father August remarried Rosa von-Schenck and three more children came into the family, Daniel, Peter and Annemarie. Andy loved to ski and go mountain climbing, and he served in the Swiss Army during WWII. He was an expert marksman.

Andreas Tobler, age 91 of Maple Grove, formerly of Sauk Centre, passed away on March 20, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, August and Elise Tobler; stepmother, Rosa Tobler-von Schenck; brothers, Meinrad and Daniel; sisters, Roswitha and Annemarie. Survived by wife, Alice of Maple Grove; son, Mark (Linda) of Blaine; daughter, Emily (Jeff) Cavins of Maple Grove; son, Michael Tobler of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jake) Petrowitz, Andrea Tobler (Andrew), Carly (Patrick) Felicetta, Jaki Cavins, Toni Cavins, Dylan Tobler, Tristan Tobler, Keegan Tobler and Kierra Tobler; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Dominic, Francesco; brother, Peter Tobler (Gerda) of Reinach, Switzerland; sister-in-law, Suzanne Tobler of Basel, Switzerland; nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday at Cross Winds United Methodist Church (15051 Weaver Lake Rd., Maple Grove). Visitation 5-8 p.m.

Michael A. Brunette

Michael A. Brunette, age 27 of Melrose, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the CentraCare Health Hospital in Melrose.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose with Rev. Mitchell Bechtold officiating. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in New Munich.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Michael Anthony Brunette was born June 19, 1989, in Lansing, Mich., to Thomas Metzger and Antonia Brunette. Michael graduated from Melrose High School in 2007. He worked at various businesses throughout the Melrose community including Casey’s, Dollar General and John Dough’s, and most recently was working at Perkins in Alexandria. Michael worked out daily at Snap Fitness and had just lost 50 pounds.

Robert G. “Bud” Fletcher

Robert G. “Bud” Fletcher, 100, died Friday, March 17, 2017 in Sauk Centre. Bud was born Dec. 29, 1916, in Aberdeen, S.D., where he enjoyed an idyllic childhood with his parents, George and Minnie (Balle) Fletcher, his two older brothers, Howard and “Boone” (Frederick), and his older sister, Jane. The foursome spent their summers fishing and swimming on Big Sand Lake near Dorset, with their grandparents and cousins.
Bud graduated with an accounting degree from the University of Iowa in 1939 and followed his older brothers into the FBI that same year, serving briefly as a messenger, file clerk and tour guide before becoming a Special Agent from 1941 until he retired in 1972.
