Janet Elaine Johnson, 82, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully at home Dec. 15, 2023.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Donald K. Johnson; daughters Karen Brasile and Susan Ellenwood (Rudolph Lucero); son-in-law Neal Neumann; stepchildren Wendy Andersen (Tim), Kent Johnson (Janice), Jeffrey Johnson (Lisa) and Laurie Kristensen; grandchildren Brian (Jaime), Katrina, Sean (Savannah), Alex (Veronica), Kurt (Ashley), Molly, Nick, Paul (Bailey), Cole (Rachel) and Ray; six great-granddaughters; her brothers Ray Selbo (Joy) and David Selbo (Stephanie); and many more loved family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents A. Gordon Selbo and Helen E. Johnson; stepfather John F. Johnson; daughter Diana Neumann; and sons-in-law Glen Ellenwood and Kevin Brasile.
Janet was born in Jamestown, North Dakota, July 6, 1941. She moved with her family to Minneapolis where she graduated from Roosevelt High School. She lived the remainder of her life in the Twin Cities and Sauk Centre. Janet was the hub of her family, enjoying hosting holiday and family celebrations. Everyone was welcomed in her home.
A Celebration of Life was held Jan. 13 at Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington.
