Amy Klobuchar

Party: Democratic-Farmer-Labor

About: Amy Klobuchar has always been guided by the values she learned growing up in Minnesota. As the granddaughter of an iron ore miner, the daughter of a teacher and a newspaperman and the first woman elected to the United States Senate from her state, Amy understands that we live in a country of shared dreams — that no matter where you come from, or who you are, or the color of your skin, or how much money you have, or where you worship, or who you love, you should be able to make it in the United States of America.

Jobs and the economy: Minnesotans believe in hard work, fair play and personal responsibility. We believe that no matter where you come from, if you work hard, you can achieve your dreams, give the gift of education to your children and have security in your later years. My grandpa was a miner, working 1,500 feet underground in the iron ore mines in Ely. He …

Agriculture and rural communities: America’s economic well-being depends on the health of our farmlands and rural communities. As the nation’s sixth largest agricultural-producing state, Minnesota is home to over 67,000 farms that contribute almost $16 billion to our state economy each year. Rural communities that rely on an agricultural economy often see disproportionate impacts from natural disasters, market volatility and global pandemics. These communities …

Environment, climate change, homegrown energy and natural resources: We must commit ourselves to protecting our environment and preserving our natural resources for generations to come. Environmental conservation is a fundamental part of Minnesota’s heritage — and it is part of my own family’s heritage, too. Like most Minnesotans, I grew up in a family that values the outdoors. My grandpa from northern Minnesota was an avid hunter. My dad …

Joyce Lynne Lacey

Party: Independence-Alliance

About: My career has been marked by a passion for service and a diverse range of experiences. As a reporter, I covered sports for The Battle Lake Review and Grant County Herald and shared stories with listeners as a radio reporter and personality for KBRF and KBHL. My commitment to community safety led me to serve as a community service officer, and my commitment to education led me to teach. As a Wall Street Journal and USA Today best-selling author, I am able to reach global audiences through my weekly programs on The Now Network and the Daily Gospel Network.

— Human trafficking — ending human trafficking in all its forms and securing our borders to stop the illegal immigration contributing to it

Protecting the Future:

Royce White

Party: Republican

About: Royce White was born and raised in the Twin Cities. A native to the Rondo community of St. Paul, he started playing sports at the age of 5 years old. By age nine, he was playing basketball on the northside of Minneapolis. Royce has lived in various neighborhoods around the Twin Cities.

As the son of a single mother, Royce has lived in various neighborhoods around the Twin Cities. Much of his family remained in the Rondo community, where he spent much of his time and received schooling.

Public safety: Public safety and economy, public safety and education, and public safety and mental health are all “which comes first, the chicken or the egg” propositions. I believe in a set of legislative initiatives that approaches economic, education and mental health issues in novel and holistic ways, which empowers individuals while shrinking the size and scope of an administrative state that …

Economy (globalism): As an NBA player, I experienced first-hand the operation of a globalized media, merchandising and sports entertainment company that cared for its employees as a master managed a slave. Only in this case, riches and stardom replaced the whip to maintain discipline and compliance. I reject the “you’ll be happy and own nothing” mantra of the globalists as “slavery 2.0”. …

The Chinese Communist Party: I want to make a big distinction between the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese people. I also believe that a people’s government reflects the will of the people. There is little today to be proud of as regards the actions of my own government, so my efforts in senator will be to rally an effort to clean house here …

Rebecca Whiting

Party: Libertarian

About: My name is Rebecca Whiting. I am a Christian, a wife and a mom to a large family. We live in Bemidji on a farm we have built from the ground up. I am a homeschooling mom and a small business owner. I have been involved with farmers markets and the community for most of my adult life. I am also an Army combat veteran who saw two tours to Iraq as a medic in 2004-05, then again in 2006-07. I was in Ramadi during the Battle for Fallujah and then in Baghdad during the Surge with 2ID, 2BCT.

No more wars: Unless the United States is attacked, we have no business using our military in foreign countries.

No more entangling alliances: Our friends need to learn to run their own countries without the use of U.S. dollars.

Bring the troops home: The military isn’t a tool to be used by the military-industrial complex.  We owe it to the service members not to put their lives in danger recklessly and to not use their willingness to sacrifice for their country abusively.
