Timothy M. “Tim” Walter, age 57, of Sauk Centre, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes May 7, 2024, at his shop in Sauk Centre.

A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, June 9, at Tim’s Shop in Sauk Centre.

Timothy Melvin Walter was born March 28, 1967, in Sauk Centre, to Melvin and Sharon (Kilanowski) Walter. He attended Holy Family School and graduated from Sauk Centre High School. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Gillies May 18, 2002, in West Union. Tim has been self-employed for over 30 years and has lived at his current home for over 20 years.

In his younger years, Tim enjoyed snowmobiling and later he loved competing in tractor pulls for over 30 years. He loved being in his shop and working with his customers. Tim enjoyed woodworking and DJing on the weekends, and mostly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Walter of Sauk Centre; children, Jennifer (Myron) Kottschade of Swanville, Nikki (Darren) Thompson of Sauk Centre, Amanda (David) Blaskowski of Esko, Megan (Jordan) Kohnen of Hewitt, Brittney (Ben) Jordan of Swanville and Corey Walter of Sauk Centre; 15 grandchildren; father, Melvin Walter of Sauk Centre; brothers, Todd (Cassie) Walter of Willmar and Troy Walter of Sauk Centre; and many loving relatives and friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Walter; son, Matthew Walter; father-in-law, John Gillies; both sets of grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.

Please do not send flowers and plants to the Celebration of Life at Tim’s shop.
