Shirley A. Marthaler, age 88, passed away peacefully Dec. 2, 2023, in Galeon. She was born Sept. 23, 1935, in Sauk Centre to her loving parents, George and Mary Minette. Shirley was a devoted wife, caring mother and beloved member of the community.

Randolph F. “Randy” Hittle, 69, of Alexandria, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Dec. 12, 2023, at the Knute Nelson Care Center in Alexandria.

Kenneth J. “Ken” Groetsch, 75, of Sauk Centre, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 15, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with the Rev. Greg Paffel officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery with military honors by the Sauk Centre United Veterans Honor Guard.

Kimberly A. “Kim” Schmitz, 49, of Melrose, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by her family, Dec. 18, 2023 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Marvin Enneking officiating. Interment will be at the parish cemetery.

Elizabeth “Betty” Froh, 89 of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Dec. 9, 2023, at Fairway Pines Senior Living in Sauk Centre.

Greg L. Anderson, 64, of Belgrade, died peacefully Dec. 4, 2023, at his home near Belgrade. Funeral services were held Dec. 8 at Grace Lutheran Church in Belgrade, with burial in the Grace East Cemetery.

Patricia J. “Patty” McCoy, 53, of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Dec. 5, 2023, at the Maple Grove Hospital in Maple Grove.

Stanley Joseph Stalboerger, 83, was called home by our Lord Dec. 6, 2023, from amidst his family in Elrosa. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Dec. 11 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa with the Rev. Mark Botzet officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
